The garden was designed to provide an elevated seating area to get more light and sun. To achieve this a deck was built over 2 levels. The same material was used for the raised planter between patio and the remaining garden. The material for the deck is composite which is non-slip and won’t rot. The fences were clad with cedar battens.
The remaining garden is divided in planting beds, gravel and stepping stone. A yew hedge forms a screen in front of a gate and a Japanese Acer and Olive tree anchor the view within the space. Under planted with groundcover planting providing interest throughout the year.
