Planting Design, Ashtead

The south facing garden contained very little planting originally, mainly a large lawn and terrace with narrow shaped planters. The planters were filled with a mix of herbaceous perennials and grasses and provide now an exciting natural habitat for wildlife in the summer months. Another planting bed was prepared along the edge of the lawn in order to achieve a balanced feel when in the garden. Plants consist mainly of shrubs, a few trees for height and structure, grasses and herbaceous perennials.
